Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) to give Keynote at the Power of Prepaid®

The NBPCA is pleased to announce that Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney, U.S. Representative for New York's 12th congressional district, will be delivering a special keynote address at the Power of Prepaid® on April 29, 2016.

Since being elected to Congress in 1992, Representative Maloney has worked to modernize financial services laws and regulations while strongly advocating for consumer protections. Representative Maloney currently serves as a senior member of both the House Committee on Financial Services (where she serves as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Capital Markets) and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

She is also the Ranking Member of the House Minority Committee Members on the Joint Economic Committee. Representative Maloney served on the historic conference committee for the Dodd-Frank financial reforms, which also created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Her Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights (the "CARD Act") was signed into law by President Obama in the Spring of 2009.
