Q: With continuous advances in technology, it's difficult for many players in the payments landscape to keep up. How are Electronic Payments partners staying on the forefront? A: Surprisingly, for many in this industry, we fly under the radar, so to speak. We're not flashy or braggadocio, but we are a $7+ Billion dollar processor, one of the largest non-bank ISO/Acquirers in the country. To that end, we're technologically savvy and we have relevant services for the VAR and ISV channel such as eGiftSolutions, our free gift/loyalty platform, and ProCharge®, an integrated billing suite and gateway with features designed to integrate with QuickBooks® and QuickBooks® Point of Sale. Q: Point of Sale is a major component in Electronic Payments' plan to exceed VAR and merchant demands. What differentiates your POS program offerings? A: Late last year, we acquired Exatouch, an equally technologically savvy POS company that adds to our suite of payment solutions. We've already launched customer facing EMV, Pay-at-Table, and have integrated eGiftSolutions. Additionally, we have a PA-DSS validated payment engine and can license this to the ISV channel so they can eliminate their reliance on the litany of gateway and middleware companies for EMV enablement, but still offer an agnostic POS solution... or not. We're all about putting more control and more revenue in the hands and pockets of the VAR and ISV channel. Q: Although we're months removed from the liability shift, there is still a lot of confusion about the EMV transition. How are you assisting VARS and their clients with successfully adopting EMV strategies? A: To augment my comment above, we're not only a payment company but we're a POS company and an ISO/MSP. Our abilities extend across the entire payment ecosystem. We can offer ISVs a way out from the gateway/middleware approach to EMV enablement, turn them into an ISO so they can keep the revenue, provide guidance and assistance on how to build their company, plus allow them to focus on what they do best with regards to their customers. Q: How does Electronic Payments ensure a VAR's growth and success in such a rapidly evolving environment? A: Electronic Payments was founded on innovative technology and solutions for the payments industry as a whole - we've offered successful agent and ISO programs and continue that today. But the ISV and VAR community has been so underserved and really manipulated. Payments is not a complex business when you have the right tools and we can give those tools to this channel and allow them to succeed with a high level of support and service. |
