Speak at the SCA's 2014 Payment Summit
The Smart Card Alliance's conference advisory committee is seeking proposals from qualified professionals who wish to speak at its 2014 Payment Summit. The event will take place Feb. 5 to 7, in Salt Lake City. Proposals will be accepted through Oct. 23, 2013, via the alliance's online submission form at www.cvent.com/events/2014-payments-summit/custom-36-0a3ced5103c144ba83de42b933b495c5.aspx?RefID=Speaking .
The conference will cover the entire U.S. market, which is the world's largest payments ecosystem, the SCA noted. "We'll be covering the migration to EMV [Europay/MasterCard/Visa], and as the situation is fluid, we're looking for up-to-minute content," the SCA stated, adding that proposed topics should involve the application and usage of smart cards and alternative smart technology – for example, tokens, smartphones, embedded chips – that fall into the following categories:
- EMV, contactless, card payments implementations
- Mobile and NFC-enabled payments implementations
- Transit payment systems implementations and technologies
- Alternate payment systems implementations and technologies
- Business cases and market overviews
The SCA stated the committee is looking for "end-user perspectives and presenters, and vendor-neutral educational presentations that focus on the real-life applications of payment technologies and systems."
