NAOPP teleconference to highlight hot legal issues

In a free teleconference for members of the National Association of Payment Professionals (NAOPP), payments industry Attorney Paul Rianda will address legal issues of free-terminal programs and highlight important legislative developments affecting our industry.
The call will take place Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. For call-in information, NAOPP members should e-mail naopp@netdoor.com .
Rianda is of counsel for Kring & Chung in the firm's business & corporate department. He worked three years at the ISO E-Commerce Exchange, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Secretary.
The Aug. 29 call will be his third for NAOPP members. Last summer he discussed contract provisions to help preserve MLS rights, as well as tips for protecting residuals.
NAOPP is a nonprofit organization working to bridge the gap between MLSs and other segments of the payment processing industry through education. Membership for MLSs is $99 a year.
