ETA's Transact 2020 postponed
The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) disclosed March 16, 2020, that its annual conference, Transact, will be moved to a later date in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. The event had originally been scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Convention Center on April 27 to 30, 2020.
"We know what a valuable experience TRANSACT is for everyone involved and how much we all look forward to it each year," ETA representatives stated. "However, the safety and health of our community is our first priority and given the extraordinary developments of the last week alone it is clear that it is impossible for TRANSACT to go forward as planned."
Transact event organizers further noted that exhibitors and attendees will be fully reimbursed for any payments made for exhibit space and registrations. Refund policies and processes are under review while considering these unique circumstances, they stated, and more details will be forthcoming by March 20, 2020.
ETA will also furnish more details and updates about Transact 2020 by the end of March, following its exploration of alternative dates and venues. Additional plans are underway for other events, including Transact Tech Atlanta, Transact Tech San Francisco, and the ETA Strategic Leadership Forum (SLF), all slated for later this year, according to the ETA conference planning committee.
