Time to nominate ETA award recipients
The Electronic Transactions Association is seeking nominations for the 2010 ETA Awards program. The ETA has extended the deadline through Fri., March 5, 2010. The awards honor both companies and individuals.
The award categories are:
- Member of the Year
- Business Partner of the Year
- 2010 ISO of the Year
- 2010 Technology Innovation
The Member of the Year award honors an individual from an ETA member company who dedicates time and effort to promote the future success of the ETA. Possible contributions may include:
- Writing, speaking or presenting at ETA events
- Representing the ETA's interests to external stakeholders as a spokesperson or expert
- Providing intellectual capital, resources or expertise toward the ETA's services
- Helping develop new programs, products or services for ETA members
The Business Partner of the Year award recognizes the member company that has "consistently supported the association through sponsorship of ETA events, advertising in ETA publications, speaking at ETA events, serving on committees and otherwise helping to further the association's goals and objectives."
The ISO of the Year award, added last year, honors the currently registered ISO member that has contributed to the advancement of the industry, demonstrated high ethical standards and successfully overcome industry challenges with measurable results.
An ETA member company whose use of technology in the payments industry "increases standardization, promotes customer usability, increases profitability or otherwise makes new significant advances for the industry" may be nominated for the Technology Innovation award. The member's technological solution should be in "current use in the marketplace with demonstrated results."
The Committee Member of the Year and the Committee of the Year awards have been deferred until 2011 because the standing committees' terms were extended.
