Travel card commemorates royal wedding
tglive, the website for the U.K.'s Travel Trade Gazette, reported travel agency Thomas Cook Group launched a limited edition Travelex Cash Passport travel currency card in commemoration of the upcoming royal wedding between Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton.
The commemorative prepaid cards, denominated in British pounds and featuring an image of the couple as they appeared at their engagement announcement, are being targeted toward visitors expected to descend on London for the April 29, 2011, wedding.
Only 3,000 of the prepaid cards were issued; they are available at the foreign exchange bureau at Heathrow Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, as well as at Manchester Airport and select Thomas Cook agencies, ttglive said.
