WSAA wants to welcome you
The Western States Acquirers Association just took two extra steps to make it easier for ISOs and merchant level salespeople to attend its 9th annual conference scheduled for Sept. 26 and 27, 2012, in Huntington Beach, Calif.
First, attendees who register for the event by Sept. 9 will receive a $50 cash rebate (about 67 percent of the $75 fee), redeemable at the conference. Second, since rooms are all sold out at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa, where the conference is being held, WSAA negotiated reduced pricing on a special block of rooms at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort for folks who attend the show. The Hilton is adjacent to the Hyatt, so it's an easy stroll to the festivities.
Attendees will enjoy access to all sessions; the exhibit hall; all meals; and admission to the Field Guide Seminar, titled The Practical ISO that will cover such topics as how to profit from social media, power networking, game changers in payments, protecting residual streams, key mistakes ISOs make and how to avoid them, and financing options.
Learn, mingle, relax, recharge
General and breakout panel discussion topics planned include EMV: The Future Is Now; Mobile Payments; Turning Compliance Lemons into Lemonade, How Compliance Affects Portfolio Value; The Future of Acquiring ... Will You Wipe Out or Catch the Big One?; and Embracing Change: Staying Relevant in the Changing Payments Landscape.
Keynote speaker Jeffrey Hayzlett, global business celebrity and author, will provide autographed copies of his book Running the Gauntlet free to the first 100 people who attend his book signing on the final afternoon.
In addition, the first annual WSAA golf tournament will tee off Sept. 26 at the Mile Square Golf Course in nearby Fountain Valley. Sponsored by SecurityMetrics Inc., the $40 tournament fee includes continental breakfast, barbecue lunch, complimentary drink tickets, awards to the winning foursome and other prizes, including a chance to win a 2013 BMW 7 series sedan for a hole-in-one.
Other activities slated are Bike to the Beach with Us; multiple receptions with exhibitors; and, for an additional fee, the Women's Network in Electronic Transactions (W.net) Southern California Regional Meeting.
WSAA's exhibit space for vendors is currently sold out, but a limited number of roaming vendor and sponsorship spots remain available. For registration and additional conference information, visit www.westernstatesacquirers.com .
