Several hundred attendees have already registered for the thirteenth annual show, which is themed The Movement of Money and will include a virtual conference platform. Tedd Huff, producer of the Fintech Confidential podcast, will broadcast live from the exhibit hall throughout MPC23.
Marla Ellerman, executive director of MPC: The Digital Commerce Event and publisher of Mobile Marketing and Technology Magazine, thanked The Green Sheet and other media partners for their ongoing support of the conference, which she indicated has grown and evolved alongside the everchanging digital commerce sphere.
"We've added several new elements to this year's conference," she said. "For example, attendees will receive their own customizable mini sites and contactless cards, courtesy of Epype, for digital-first connecting, engaging and networking. In addition, fintech influencer Tedd Huff will be livestreaming in the exhibit hall."
Ruston Miles, founder and CEO of Payfactory, agreed, stating MPC has become one of the most educational and innovative payment events of the year. "The great thing about MPC is its diversity, from payment facilitation to real-time payments and BNPL to digital currencies and embedded finance, as well as a lineup of impactful industry thought leaders," he said. "The event truly brings together payments, Fintech, retail and cybersecurity executives from around the globe. I presented at MPC in 2014 and I'm just as thrilled to speak again in 2023."
Ellerman further noted that Chargebacks911 and BalancedTrust will run concurrent half-day workshops ahead of the official conference opening at 12:55 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 23.
Monica Eaton, founder of Chargebacks911, pointed out that merchants in attendance will have an opportunity to learn about chargeback management best practices. "We're incredibly excited to be bringing Chargeback University and our panel of experts to MPC23," she said.
Travis Dulaney, BalancedTrust founder and MPC advisory board member, said his workshop will provide guidance to fintech entrepreneurs on how to win partnerships, customers and bank sponsorships. "Understanding how to speak 'banking' is half the battle; in our training course we will teach you how to approach and get a sponsor bank to swipe right," he said.
Ellerman noted that panels, exhibits and keynote speakers will explore numerous topics throughout the three-day-event. Among them are digital asset tokenization, payment facilitation models, BNPL's continuing evolution, emerging trends in security, fraud prevention and payments, cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies, real-time payments, the expanding role of AI in payments, digital banking and financial services, regulatory trends and high-risk merchant services, and more.
"This year we will highlight the tech channel, which I have been a part of for several decades," Ellerman said, adding that some of the tech sector's leading brands will participate and share perspectives on how they have adapted their business models to stay competitive and relevant.
Natasha Royer Coons, CEO of Advantix and an MPC23 speaker, thanked Ellerman for the opportunity to explore complementary skill sets and partnership opportunities with payments and financial services leaders.
In a July 13, 2023, interview in The MPC Show Times, Royer Coons mentioned that her company is part of a thriving technology ecosystem. "We operate in the information and communication technology channel," she said. "This channel is comprised of technology distributors, telecom agents, value-added resellers and other advisors that help businesses source, implement, manage and support technologies enabling their operations and customer experiences."
Ellerman encouraged first-time and returning guests to be part of The Movement of Money, adding that The Green Sheet readers can receive $50 off of registration by applying Discount Code MPC23TGRS at mpcevent.com/register-now-payment/
