Green Sheet interviews NAB's Suri Patel

North American Bancard expanded its partnership with Visa by joining Visa Platform Connect, a program designed to facilitate rapid, secure connections across the Visa Acceptance Solutions ecosystem. NAB representatives noted that the partnership will enhance NAB's Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX) platform and give merchants a more robust offering with the trusted Visa brand.

Suri Patel, director of product management at NAB, shared additional details with The Green Sheet about the new partnership. Following are interview highlights.

What attracted NAB to the Visa Acceptance Solutions team and how aligned are your objectives and technologies?

Visa Platform Connect enables a rapid, secure connection into the Visa Acceptance Solutions ecosystem, helping payments leaders and tech providers access a comprehensive, global payments infrastructure. For NAB, the partnership means an integration with NAB's Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX) processing platform that will amplify its already flexible payment solutions with API-driven, value-added services and give merchants a more robust offering with the trusted Visa brand.

How do the two distinct technology platforms complement each other?

NAB is pleased to partner with the Visa Acceptance Solutions team to help our key strategic partners and merchants gain access to the most innovative payment solutions in the marketplace. Visa Platform Connect will help our partners streamline and facilitate payment processing, making it easier for businesses to securely accept payments from their customers.

How will this partnership with Visa benefit NAB merchants and partners?

VPC brings to EPX the forward-thinking solutions that you expect. That means full access to Visa Acceptance Solutions' wide array of features and benefits. It also means complete integration with Cybersource, which brings best-in-class payment metrics, infrastructure resilience, increased efficiency, and super-charged solutions like payer authentication, fraud management, recurring billing, network tokenization, and invoicing.

What reactions have you seen to this partnership among NAB merchants and partners?

Since launching the program, NAB has been inundated with positive feedback and reaction from our merchant and partner communities. They are excited to have been provided the opportunity to access to Visa's global, modular payment management platform that will allow them to ultimately grow revenues and mitigate risk.

How will the integration of Visa Platform Connect and NAB's EPX processing platform expand reach and create a more robust product offering for merchants?

VPC is just the latest innovation at NAB. We're committed to powering the success of our business-owner partners, making it easier, faster, and better for merchants like you to get ahead in the payment world.

What is involved in deploying and implementing the new solution?

Deployment of a partnership integration solution like Visa Platform Connect requires significant cross company collaboration as was the case between NAB's Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX) team and the Visa Platform Connect team. It has taken many months for our teams to understand how best to position NAB's instance of this solution but we feel that now we are in the right place to service our customers in the best possible way. end of article
