Founded with a mission to educate payment professionals, including ISOs, MSPs, financial institutions and other professionals in the electronic payments sphere, the MWAA is dedicated to keeping industry members informed amid the ever-evolving landscape of payments.
As a nonprofit, no-membership independent forum, the MWAA's stated goal is to provide a regional opportunity for training, education and networking in the Midwest acquiring community. In addition, the group provides a forum for the discussion of issues related to the payments industry.
It's not too late to claim your spot. You can also register at the door if your schedule frees up at the last minute. (A warning: unsanctioned third-party events attempting to piggyback on this conference are frowned upon and may lead to your being excluded from future participation in the MWAA.)
For a reminder of just how much a regional acquirers show has to offer, tune into the SEAA wrap-up episode of B2B Podcast: Street SmartsSM Edition, which is featured right now on our video hub, as well as YouTube and other popular podcast sides. The talk is all about the Southeast Acquirers Association's annual conference, which was held June 10 to 12, 2024 in New Orleans.
In the episode Allen Kopelman, co-founder of Nationwide Payment Systems, and his guests Steven Morris, sales executive at the Gatlic Group, Derrick Hess, electronic payments entrepreneur, and David McGuffin, owner of Space City Payments, discuss highlights of the show. Some of their memorable experiences include seeing the latest technology in action, talking with people about what's coming next, brainstorming with knowledgeable peers about issues of concern and, most enjoyably, having a chance to spend time with long-time business partners, as well as make plentiful promising new connections. Next year's SEAA conference is already scheduled for June 2 to 4, 2025 in Orlando, Fla.
