AT&T expects professional golfers and golf fans to participate in preparing the care packages to be shipped to U.S. soldiers serving around the world. Additionally, AT&T is providing an air-conditioned clubhouse and multiple Wi-Fi-enabled areas to spur donations to local Philadelphia-area charities, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia and The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, as well as the Tiger Woods Foundation in Washington, D.C.
"To date, this event has raised nearly $10 million for youth-based organizations," said Jason Simpson, Assistant Vice President, AT&T Corporate Sponsorships. "We're excited to continue our support of these organizations and honor the men and women of our Armed Forces this weekend and throughout the year." This is the second year in a row that AT&T has sponsored the golf tournament.
