ETA looking for showcase participants

For those looking for a place to show off a new payment solution it is hard to imagine a better forum than the ETA 2012 Annual Meeting & Expo. The ETA's Technology Committee is calling for applications to participate in the 2012 Technology Showcase at this year's annual meeting.

The Technology Showcase includes both live performances and video presentations. There are two one-hour Technology Showcases featured at the conference with four participants assigned to each hour (eight featured presentations altogether). Each of the eight selected participants will have 10 minutes to demonstrate their payment solution. The ETA Technology Committee is particularly interested in innovations that can demonstrate merchant success.

Each participating company will present a short video about its product and how it addresses a merchant problem and/or opportunity. The remaining time will be used to talk about the success of the solution in addressing the merchant's concern. To be selected, would-be participants should demonstrate how their payment innovations can increase revenue for merchants, attract new customers and create new ways to engage consumers. Payment innovations in any merchant segment – hospitality, retail, online or brick and mortar, or social commerce – are eligible for consideration.

Applications will be judged on the level of innovation, merchant ROI and increased sales, market availability, applicability to ISOs and processors, creativity of demonstration and the ability to increase ISO and processor revenue.

Anyone interested in applying for one of the presentation slots should register online at www.electran.org/showcase by Feb. 24, 2012.
