The merchant account sales companion
In 2002, transmodus Corp. launched an on-demand check processing platform, a software-as-a-solution service that is now commonly referred to as cloud-based. According to Richard McShirley, transmodus Chief Marketing Officer, the platform was the first of its kind, and the company has continually evolved as a technology leader providing ISOs and merchant level salespeople (MLSs) superior merchant payment solutions and support.
Company principals, including transmodus founder and Chief Executive Officer Jay McShirley, leveraged their technological expertise to go beyond basic check processing to include assistance with returned checks and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions, which enhanced loss prevention, electronic recovery and automation of secondary collections processing.
Enter linked2pay
Continuing its focus on innovation, transmodus launched linked2pay, a value-added solutions platform that bundles five popular ways to accept credit card, electronic benefit transfer (EBT) and ACH payments. Methods include a mobile app, online forms, checkout (shopping cart or website), email, and a virtual terminal that can also support card-present payments; robust, customizable reporting for merchants is also included, transmodus noted.
"What sets linked2pay apart is how it enables the customers of a merchant to pay so easily," said Richard McShirley. "That coupled with compelling marketing tools provides our sales partners with the edge to acquire more merchants at a faster pace."
Key linked2pay features include:
- Most popular payment acceptance methods bundled within one solution
- Simple deployment ready to accept payments immediately
- Low flat fee that adds $0.00 to partners' card fees
- Credit card, EBT and ACH payment options side by side
- Card processor-neutral, with certification to the leading direct providers
- Support for card-present and card-not-present payment acceptance
- Reports able to include every field or variable added by client
A powerful sales partner
Transmodus seeks meaningful partnerships with ISOs, financial institutions, software providers and key business trade organizations. It focuses on enhancing the merchant account value proposition for its partners.
"The linked2pay solution is ideal for a wide range of merchants, and when you add our level of support provided, we make it easy for our partners to build their sales momentum," McShirley said. "Our acclaimed support team is another clear advantage that we deliver on a consistent basis."
Linked2pay is suitable for a range of business types, for example, business-to-business, health care, education, municipal, nonprofits, associations, law firms and supply companies. One satisfied customer is Seattle-based Richmark Label.
"Our company has been providing customers with labels that meet their needs for more than 60 years," said Barry Cosme, Richmark's Chief Financial Officer. "We wanted to give our customers the convenience of online payments. After an evaluation, we selected linked2pay and are very pleased with that decision. It was easy to get set up, and it makes the payment process simple for our customers. Their service level is very high."
The linked2pay platform is certified with the leading payment processors to support a variety of payment types in compliance with both the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association. Linked2pay monitors specified operations and application changes, as well as client setup and maintenance, information security, payment processing and gateways, and data communications.
RDC and e-checks
In addition, transmodus provides remote deposit capture (RDC) and electronic check solutions. The company's RDC platform can operate in both bank-neutral and bank-specific models to consolidate and automate the check management process. Its ACH platform architecture provides solutions online and via integration with transmodus' TMC Connect software development kits. One-time and recurring settings enable clients to utilize a single platform for paper check and ACH payment automation.
Richard McShirley stated transmodus has processed millions of transactions, valued in billions of dollars, for thousands of businesses. "Our linked2pay solutions deliver value and efficiency to clients and partners, thanks to our focused commitment and single ownership of the processing platform," he said.
