Next step, virtual POS

On-demand payment technology provider Transmodus Corp. upgraded its cloud-based linked2pay payment platform with the addition of a virtual terminal to further simplify the payment process.

The virtual terminal virtually links the platform's e-mail and online forms for such functions as sending payment requests, issuing electronic coupons, or managing recurring payments and other payment-related tasks.

"Like linked2pay email payments and forms builder, our Virtual Terminal is also very simple for our clients to use while offering a wide range of flexibility," stated Stephen Hipskind, Chief Information Officer at Transmodus.

"Our clients range from very small supply companies to Fortune 500 health-care providers. The extensive work we have done on platform development has given us the advantage to make linked2pay robust in features, yet simple to deploy and use."

Transmodus reported that the product's features include the ability to accept credit card, check or automated clearing house (ACH) payments by phone, facsimile or mail, as well as capture phone and written authorizations.

Users can set the payment amount and then delay the transaction date. In addition, customer data can be auto-populated with a single click. For larger merchants, additional virtual terminals can be created and saved.

With linked2pay integration, virtual terminal users can email bill payment requests and establish recurring payments, develop and manage coupon programs without incurring additional costs, build customized forms for online payments, and link business accounting software to online payments, the company said.

A look-up function pulls customer details for payment, and advanced reporting features generate timely reports based on user demand.

The company noted that the Transmodus platform is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliant and has completed an SAS 70 Type II audit, the international auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for evaluating such areas as information security, payment processing and gateways.

Transmodus is connected to leading U.S. banks for processing remote deposit capture and ACH payments. Additionally, the linked2pay virtual terminal now connects via Heartland Payment Systems Inc., Vantiv Inc., Total System Services Inc, Global eTelecom Inc. and Authorize.Net, among other partners.

The company is seeking sales channel, financial institution, software and trade organization partners to expand user adoption. Affiliate partners who sign with Transmodus have the option of branding and managing merchant sales and boarding, the company stated.
