The next evolution in payment processing
TransFirst LLC, a provider of secure payment processing headquartered in Hauppauge, N.Y, has created an app-based mobile POS solution that enables merchants to accept credit cards in the field and at brick-and-mortar locations. ProcessNow is designed for the ever-changing world of omnichannel commerce, employing smartphone and tablet solutions that can work alone and together.
Merchants can process payments on app-enabled tablets and smartphones by downloading free, customizable ProcessNow Mobile and ProcessNow Register apps, the company said.
In-stores or on-the-go
ProcessNow Mobile is designed for in-store or on-the-go startups and smaller businesses. It works with the iPad mini or Google Nexus 7.
ProcessNow Register is geared for the requirements of larger and multilocation businesses by transforming a full-size iPad 2/3/4/Air or Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 or 4 into a fully functional substitute for a traditional cash register or terminal pay-ment system. ProcessNow Register can be used as a stand-alone solution and can also be integrated with the ProcessNow Mobile solution.
An array of options
TransFirst reported that ProcessNow optional accessories include mini and full-sized tablet stands, cash drawers in an array of colors, mobile card readers, receipt printers, and barcode scanners. Mini and full-sized tablets can slide right into the lightweight, portable tablet stands, available in multiple color options, the company added.
Space-saving WindFall cash drawers are also available in an array of colors, with countertop and under-counter mounting options. Rambler 2.0 and 3.0 mobile card readers plug into phone and tablet audio jacks.
Star Micronics Bluetooth receipt printers can be used on countertops and under counters. Socket 7CI Wireless Barcode Scanners can scan up to 19 hours on a single charge, with long-range connections that enable scanning from up to 20 feet away from the tablet, TransFirst noted.
