Cloud-based, interactive payments for food service
Aptito, a global payment technology company with U.S. headquarters in Miami, introduced a processor-neutral, cloud-based, digital dining solution for the food service industry. Restaurateurs can interact with customers and remotely manage operations using the all-in-one iPad platform, the company said . "Aptito has designed a full suite of digital products that enable restaurants to transform their systems from point-of-sale into point-of-interaction," said Eric Kirk, Aptito Executive Vice President. He added that the iPad digital menus are easy to customize and can be seamlessly integrated with Aptito's full-featured POS system and iPhone mobile app. Managers and owners can instantly update digital menus, change prices, add menu items, introduce discounts and specials, and keep customers engaged by sharing reviews, pictures, and nutritional information.
Tools for busy restaurateurs
Aptito described several tools to enhance both remote and onsite operations, as follows:
- Restaurateurs can access inventories, reservations and scheduling using Aptito's digital business management platform. A full-featured payroll system is also included in the package. Payroll reports are processed in .CSV format, which can be integrated with QuickBooks or third-party payroll services.
- To enhance consumer engagement, business owners and managers can engage in real-time with patrons through Aptito's social platforms that link to Facebook, Aptito's iPhone app and Aptito's growing online restaurant directory.
- Interactive iPad menus expedite ordering and reduce wait times, freeing up servers to serve instead of taking orders and processing payments. Customer-initiated orders improve order accuracy and server performance levels.
- Aptito's expanding digital dining environment includes an iPhone mobile app, and a self-service kiosk ordering system. Inventory alerts and mobile POS communicator tools improve efficiencies and help wait staff deliver a consistently reliable and engaging dining experience.
