Remote device management for IoT era
AdvanPOS Technology Co. Ltd., based in Taiwan, has an industrial Cloud solution designed to seamlessly manage diverse populations of POS devices, digital media and electronic transactions. "SUSI" stands for smart, ubiquitous and intelligent. The system provides a single access point for merchants to manage devices and digital media across an enterprise. "The number of connected intelligent systems is expected to grow by 400 percent over the next 10 years," said Darren Lee, Sales Team Leader at AdvanPOS. He added that SUSIAccess is a ready-to-use software platform that facilitates software and hardware monitoring, with a user-friendly map-view interface.
Remotely manage devices anytime, anywhere
AdvanPOS reported that the new release of SUSIAccess 3.0 is a secure, web-based interface that administrators can use anytime, anywhere to monitor equipment status and perform routine maintenance checks. Its MQTT communication protocol enhances connection security and stability and simplifies SUSIAccess integration. The Console-Server-Agent web-based structure provides a distributed connectivity structure that solves the challenges encountered with large-scale or multisite device management, the company noted.
Monitoring for easy management
AdvanPOS also pointed out further benefits. SUSIAccess:
- Provides a comprehensive monitoring system for hardware and software. SUSIAccess can execute tasks related to user settings, like stopping or restarting devices, to conserve energy and ensure normal device functionality.
- Actively monitors device temperatures, fan speeds, voltages, and states of hard disks and other hardware. A software monitoring function oversees program status, initiating alerts in the event of any abnormalities.
- Provides a simple map-view interface with Google and Baidu maps that help administrators locate and manage their devices. The platform also provides building diagrams to help pinpoint device locations in remote settings.
