Safely transact with long-armed POS extension
SpacePole Inc., an Ergonomic Solutions company, added the Drive Thru extension arm to its growing SpacePole family of POS stands, mounts and enclosures. Developed in partnership with global retailers and technology suppliers, the solution is tailored for drive-through and curbside delivery venues, according to company representatives.
Ergonomically designed, the Drive Thru extension arm enables retail and hospitality merchants to safely deploy POS terminals and peripherals from windows and curbside docks while avoiding human contact. Company representatives noted the solution complies with current social distancing requirements and works with all leading POS terminals and peripherals. The extended arm enables wait staff to keep a safe distance between themselves and customers, while giving customers security and privacy during PIN entry, they stated.
In addition to bridging the gap between serving windows and motor vehicles, the Drive Thru Extension Arm securely connects POS devices to the SpacePole, using a patented MultiGrip payment device adaptor, preventing them from being dropped or damaged. The MultiGrip adaptor's tamperproof, resilient design also reduces the threat of theft, the company added.
