Revolutionizing restaurant and retail experiences

Tabesto, a specialist in order-taking and payment solutions within the restaurant industry, joined forces with Worldline, a global provider of payment services, to launch the FOX ordering and payment kiosk.

This product integrates Worldline's SoftPOS Tap on Mobile technology, setting a new standard for customer service in restaurants and retail environments, the partners stated, adding that it is an all-in-one solution that combines Worldline's extensive payment expertise with Tabesto's proficiency in kiosk development. Featuring a payment application embedded within the Tabesto application environment, FOX transforms into a complete payment terminal.

The launch of FOX marks a significant step in the digital transformation of the restaurant and retail sectors, Tabesto and Worldline noted, affirming that they are dedicated to catering to the evolving needs of consumers and merchants by offering innovative solutions that simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Appealing features

The FOX kiosk boasts an NFC sensor at the bottom of the screen, allowing for seamless acceptance of payments via contactless bank cards, PIN code entry, meal vouchers or NFC-enabled e-wallets, the partners pointed out.

Designed to address the needs of both merchants and their customers, the FOX kiosk is now available in 36 countries. The partners mentioned that this innovative solution significantly reduces customer wait times, enhancing the overall ordering experience. By eliminating the need for traditional equipment such as ticket printers and separate payment terminals, they noted, they are helping restaurant and retail operators streamline their operations, reduce costs and optimize their carbon footprint.

An important collaboration

Guillaume Hourmant, CEO and founder of Tabesto, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating it 'underscores our commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions for leading retailers. By merging Worldline's payment technology with our expertise in order taking, we empower merchants to boost service efficiency while delivering a unique customer experience."

Stijn Gasthuys, head of digital commerce & global sales verticals merchant services at Worldline, concurred, stating, "We are excited to partner with Tabesto to introduce this revolutionary solution to the retail market. Our combined strengths enable us to offer a customer experience that redefines industry standards, with solutions tailored to the needs of consumers and merchants alike."

The FOX ordering and payment kiosk was nominated for the Innovation Award at the Food Hotel Tech 2024 exhibition in Paris. This recognition highlights the kiosk's potential to transform the future of order taking and payments in the restaurant and retail sectors, the partners stated. End of Story
