The Royal Treatment

     If you have been in the industry a while, you will remember that a few years back IVI cut a deal to sell POS equipment through retail channels. That OEM deal was through Royal Consumer Business Products, and a new deal is also through Royal. Royal is supplying IVI Checkmate POS EFT terminals to retail office supply superstores nationwide.

     The New Jersey-based Royal will not only supply the Ingenico Elite 505 dial-based EFT terminal for sale to office supply stores, but will also include a payment processing service to retail merchants. IVI Checkmate will be OEMing the Elite 505 Electronic Funds Transfer terminal to Royal under the name Royal Axis 505.

     Barry Thomson, President and CEO of IVI Checkmate stated, “The partnership with Royal Business Systems opens a new and exciting channel of distribution for IVI Checkmate. Royal is well established in many national retail office supply superstores located throughout the U.S., providing immediate access to retail merchants that need the Elite 505’s compact design and feature rich application set.”
