The Check
is in the Printer
The
days of waiting for your box of checks to arrive in the mail are gone, at least
for small businesses. John H. Harland Company has signed an agreement with Staples.com
to offer computer checks to Staples.com’s small business customers on the Web
at staples.harland.net. The agreement
makes Staples.com the first office supply Web site to offer Harland’s Business
Solutions online.
J.B. Lyon, vice president of
business services for Staples.com said, “Harland is the next logical addition
in our one-stop destination for the products and services small businesses need
everyday. Computer checks help simplify finances by saving customers time and
reducing accounting errors.”
Staples is most likely just
the first of many Internet outlets for Harland. Elise Scanlan, director of sales
for Harland Business Solutions, said, “Staples is the first of our business
customers to offer checks through the Internet, and we are very excited about
the potential for growth in this area.”
