MIST
Expands to U.S. and Japan
MIST,
Inc., the Canada-based wireless transaction technology company, is
expanding its operations by opening new offices in the United States and
Japan. The U.S. office will be based in Phoenix and Asian operations will
be coordinated from offices in Tachikawa, Japan.
“The
time is right for MIST to broaden its market reach to the United States
and Asian markets,” said Charles E. Lee, MIST, Inc., President and CEO.
“The future of the wireless transaction business is very bright. As part
of our plan to enter the American marketplace, we have already acquired
certifications from several of the largest U.S. processors, and I am
confident our technology will make a significant impact in that market. We
are also very encouraged about our rapid acceptance in the Japanese and
Asian marketplace.”
“The
MIST Freedom terminals and our FreedomGate technologies make it possible
for financial transactions to take place any time and place, without the
need for telephone lines or wires,” continued Lee. “Our MIST Freedom
family of products allow businesses the ability to close real-time sales
by processing a transaction in as little as one-fifth the time of a wired
system. As businesses upgrade their transaction technology, and move from
a wired to a wireless world, MIST offers the most complete platform of
solutions.”
Lee
noted that the Japanese and Asian marketplaces already have a more
advanced and robust wireless infrastructure, while the U.S. market is
beginning a steady transition from a wired to a wireless world. “We see
great potential in both the U.S. and Asian markets for our technology and
services. Businesses will be amazed at how much time will be saved and how
much more efficient their transactions will be using our Freedom
technology.”
MIST,
Inc., designs, manufactures and distributes wireless and wired POS
solutions. During the past year MIST’s revenue increased by more than
22% from $32.9 million to $40.2 million. For more information visit www.mistwireless.com.
