Secure Transactions - and Ergonomic, Too!

MIST's Freedom II wireless point-of-sale terminal allows merchants to perform credit card, debit card and check transactions from any location - as you might hope a wireless terminal would do. But along with the ability to process secure transactions and print receipts, the Freedom II features an ergonomic design for comfortable handling.

When consumers are able to pay with credit cards, they are able to spend more. With MIST's FreedomGate technology, merchants are provided with wireless network choice, flexibility and reporting to help them manage their businesses.

The Freedom II has an integrated printer and a wireless modem that supports one of several wireless platforms, including Motient and Cingular. This allows merchants to select the wireless network that provides the best coverage for their geographical area. Wireless networks are connected to credit, debit and check payment processors such as Vital Payments and Paymentech using MIST's FreedomGate transaction gateway.

Wireless point-of-sale terminals from MIST Inc. were used recently at The Countrywide Tradition golf tournament at Superstition Mountain, Ariz. Spectators were able to purchase admission tickets and merchandise using credit cards. The need for tournament organizers to run additional telephone lines and wire them to the outdoor retail tent next to the first hole was eliminated through the use of the MIST wireless terminals.
