Six Steps to Success

 

Dr. Wolf Rinke defines six steps to sales success in his book The Six Success Strategies For Winning In Life, Love And Business. Following these steps will lead you down the path to more and better sales.

1. Visualize yourself as a winner. Your positive self-esteem is essential to your success. Monitor your internal dialog carefully. Instead of telling yourself, "I'll never close this account," develop a "can do" attitude.

2. Solidify your goals. Write down and prioritize what you want to accomplish. Define the intermediate steps and short-term objectives between you and your desires. List these action items on your daily "to do" list.

3. Energize yourself through knowing where you're going and giving your all to getting there. Inventory your strengths and weaknesses, then design a plan to overcome those weaknesses that are preventing you from achieving your goals.

4. Lifelong learning is a hallmark of superachievers. Determine what additional knowledge and training you need to accomplish your goals. Seek out books, tapes, classes, and organizations that will give you what you need.

5. Develop a positive attitude. Problems, fears, and setbacks are a fact of life. You can maintain a positive attitude by using motivational tapes and books, cultivating positive language, and learning to give yourself a break.

6. Never give up. Perseverance will ensure your success. Believe in yourself, your skills, and your product.

Following these six simple steps will enable you to formalize your sales goals and make them a reality
