Window or Aisle?
We understand that many Green Sheet readers are frequent
business travelers and are often forced to make reservations on short
notice, thus paying high end air fares or list prices for hotel
rooms.
You could call a travel agent but, are you certain the deal found
will be the best for you? What if you wish to know all your options
before you decide on a day to fly or an airport to use? You just
don't know if the fare you pay could have been lower.
In our continuing attempt to bring you money-making ideas and
cost-saving opportunities, we suggest that you may want to learn to
access travel information yourself, so that you're not at the mercy
of a travel agent.
Check out the following free Internet travel sites offering
on-line reservations for car rental, airlines, cruises, and hotels.
Some offer additional information such as "fare busters" or flight
delays.
Rec. Travel Library

Travelocity http://www.travelocity.com
TravelWeb http://www.travelweb.com
Reservations.com http://www.reservations.com
Finally, be sure and surf by Airline Information on-line
(http://iecc.com/airline/), a helpful site which is updated
frequently and provides information about some of the sites above, as
well as other free travel related web sites.
All of the sites listed offer flight numbers (some also list fare
codes), so if you're uncomfortable making a reservation on-line or
purchasing a ticket over the Internet, you can jot down the
information and call the airline yourself.
