Selling POS Terminals Just Got More
Difficult
To those of you selling POS equipment and trying to offer the best
price, the competition just got stiffer. You may now be competing
with $0 down, $0 a month.
Global Payment Systems has introduced Global Access Touch-Tone
Capture, which allows merchants to authorize transactions with a
toll-free call. The credit card authorization system does not require
a terminal, extra phone line, or additional equipment.
The system is marketed to low-volume, paper-based merchants who
are just entering the world of electronic payment processing.
Merchants access Global's interactive voice response (IVR) unit by
dialing the 800 number and the system prompts them for pertinent
transaction information. Using their telephone keypad, merchants
obtain authorizations, add or void transactions in a batch or group,
force close batches, and review deposit totals from the previous
processing day.
Global Payment Systems is a subsidiary of National Data
Corporation. For more information, call (404)728-2363.
