IVI has released the CheckManager™ 3000, an "All in One" dial check reader that provides check authorization and guarantee processing without additional equipment.

The device allows merchants to connect directly to an authorizer, via a shared phone line, without any change to current credit and debit terminals. Since all software resides in the CheckManager 3000, it requires no additional hardware. The stand-alone check product plugs into a power and telephone line and is ready to process using any processor.

According to Bill McKiever, Executive VP and General Manager of IVI, "The market for a stand-alone check reader was identified through our strategic review of our products and how they fit the needs of the marketplace today. It became clear that an opportunity for a value priced, stand-alone check reader existed."

The CheckManager 3000 has a 16-key keypad, one-line 16-character back lit display, and a modem. It allows for direct or remote downloading of applications and also has a Windows simulator for application development.
