Bulking Up with Smart Card Equipment

 

Weren't smart cards supposed to make everything so easy? They freed you from the need to lug around that pesky cash and you were liberated from the hassle of a cumbersome checkbook. Well maybe we just missed all the advantages, including something akin to training weights.

The folks at Oki Advanced Products have come up with the "Visa Viewer." The product is a "Value-Checker Personal Smart Card Reader," which means users can see the cash value and transaction history on their Visa Cash Cards with this piece of equipment. According to Oki's Press Release, "Convenient and Dependable PSCRs [personal smart card readers] are a key requirement for the success of smart card programs."

Just what we need-something else to carry around! What about the trusty check register? It never malfunctions, and it's free!
