Risk Management Systems,
Inc., (RMS) a provider of information services to card processors and
acquirers, has released a new product family of client server based
transaction warehouse applications: MercView and MercServ. The
products allow processors and their merchant customers direct access
to transaction information in a pure client server
environment.
MercView
MercView, a Java
application developed for retailers, is accessed over the RMS secure
Intranet and enables merchants to have direct access to an array of
raw data, including:
- authorizations
- settled
transactions
- chargebacks
- retrievals
- batch
totals
- average ticket
calculations, both at the card type and the aggregate
level
Todd Linden, president
of RMS remarked, "Öthe retailer lessens their dependency on
their processors' call centers and back offices. Likewise, the
processor, who also has access to the same data, in addition to
summary data across their entire portfolio, can become more of a
source of value-added information to its retail
clientele."
MercServ
MercServ, a client
server application developed for acquirers, presents and aggregates
transaction data in a consolidated manner, enabling call centers to
handle inquiries faster and more efficiently, and to eliminate a wide
variety of research functions. "This is an ideal tool to increase the
productivity of both the call centers and the research units that
support them," said Linden. "We believe that this product line is
unsurpassed in allowing both acquirers and retailers the ability to
turn transaction data into useful information, either in a
predetermined format or on a proprietary basis," continued
Linden.
