of EBT
Card Payment
Systems (CPS) recently won a contract to process EBT transactions for
the City of Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA). CPS is one of the
largest ISOs in the nation to provide EBT to grocers and retailers;
they currently process more than 700,000 transactions per
month.
CPS will work
in conjunction with BUYPASS Corporation and will service the 41,000
residents of more than 40 developments, in addition to another 6,000
locations. James Maher, senior vice president of BUYPASS Corporation
said, "EBT is one of the fastest growing transaction sets at BUYPASS
with a growth rate of over 100% per year. We believe that our
partnership with CPS, one of our largest ISO customers, will be
beneficial to the PHA one of the largest EBT programs in the
Northeast."
