In, "This Has
To Hurt," The Green Sheet issue 99:01:02 January 25, 1999, we stated
incorrectly that a judgment in a California class action matter was
rendered against "CheckRite," a Utah based collection and
verification agency, which is currently owned by National Data
Corporation. National Data Corporation does not own the company
referenced in this article, and neither National Data Corporation nor
its wholly owned subsidiary, CheckRite Recovery Services, Inc., has
any relationship whatsoever to the litigation discussed therein.
National Data Corporation purchased only the assets of the Utah based
CheckRite entity from Data Broadcasting Corporation, and with said
assets formed CheckRite Recovery Services, Inc. The practices
described in the subject article are not now and have never been
utilized by CheckRite Recovery Services, Inc.
