Let's Send
Them to Credit Unions for Checking
Credit unions are
competing with banks more aggressively these days. We already know
that Congress passed a bill allowing them to accept members from a
variety of employment groups (see cover story, issue 99:03:01). Now,
credit unions can compete with banks on the check-ordering front as
well.
Deluxe Financial
Services, Inc., introduced ONE®, a check ordering service for the
Internet, to the credit union market and Provident Central Credit
Union has already implemented the system for the
Internet.
Deluxe launched
the first fully automated Internet check ordering service last year
and work is under way with other financial services companies to
expand the number of credit unions and banks who provide check
ordering on the Web. "By expanding Internet check ordering to the
credit union market, we can serve an entirely new market that is
calling for more high tech services," said Brian McLaughlin, group
product manager Deluxe Electronic Channel Management.
ONE® for the
Internet connects consumer directly to Deluxe through credit unions'
Web sites and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An
interactive demonstration is available through Deluxe's Web site at
www.deluxe.com.
Watch out,
banks!
