This site will not answer the BIG ISO questions such as, "Can I find a bank, debit, check service, lease company and equipment source, or anyone else who is willing to work hard for me, and who won't get the same idea to go out on their own in six months?" Even the wise Jedi council would have trouble with these questions. We will leave relationships and opportunity questions to the force. So, this story is just to help with the "business" side of being an ISO.
The www.bizmove site provides an online quiz to see if you are an entrepreneur at heart. The Small Business Knowledge base site (I hope that wasn't a pun-Small Business Knowledge) has information on start-ups, Web-based businesses, sales and marketing, and more.
One more thought. If you pass the muster at bizmove, or are already in the "biz," check out www.freejob.com. This site is developing resources for those who want to hire a graphics artist or even public relations, or marketing help. While this of course could be a place for you to get some help, how about being a provider as well?
Membership for the first month is free ($25 per month after that), and the free period is extended until you get your first job. What job you say? Well how about being a bankcard consultant? You know, help new businesses through the maze of getting a bankcard account or Amex or Check Services, or a lease. . . well, you get the picture.
