Business to
Business Card Use Grows
Credit card use by
small businesses is soaring again, with nearly half of entrepreneurs
using cards as one of the ways to finance their businesses. A record
47% of entrepreneurs use credit cards as a financing source, double
the number of just two years ago, according to an annual survey from
the Arthur Andersen accounting and consulting firm and the lobbying
group National Small Business United.
Credit cards now
rival bank loans as the perennial leader in financing options. "A few
years ago, credit cards were considered bad or dangerous for
businesses, but now it's clearly acceptable," said Nancy Pechloff,
managing director of Arthur Andersen's enterprise
group.
