BankServ, a
provider of EFT outsourcing services and software and the
nationís largest independent processor of electronic check
conversions at the POS, has announced a number of personnel
changes.
Chuck Gerlach has
been hired away from VeriFone, Inc., and is now senior vice president
of BankServís Electronic Check Services Company. Gerlach was
general manager of the Government and Health Care Systems division of
VeriFone, Inc., from 1989 until June of this year.
Amy Goodson,
BankServ vice president, has been promoted to the newly created
position of vice president, manager of product and market management
for the Electronic Check Services Company. Goodson is responsible for
check conversion products, managing industry alliances, and promoting
market awareness of BankServís check conversion solutions.
Goodson is also a former VeriFone employee.
BankServ has also
hired Visaís former senior vice president and East Coast Sales
Manager, Carol A. Cosby. Cosby will be BankServís vice
president to head the checking companyís sales efforts to
banks/banking associations nationwide.
Finally, Raymond
Reyes, former divisional director of BOBCAD Engineering, of Atlanta,
joined the checking company as assistant vice president. Reyes will
manage sales through indirect channels, including Independent Sales
Organizations and check services companies.
BankServ was one
of the first companies to offer merchants a fully integrated system
for converting checks into electronic funds transfers (EFTs) at the
