Omni
The VeriFone
division of HP has signed an agreement with Atlanta-based Lynk
Systems for 20,000 Omni 3200 POS payment systems. Lynk has completed
a successful pilot test of the companiesí combined solutions
with Atlanta-area merchants and says it intends to implement the
solution for retail and hospitality customers nationwide.
Lynk and VeriFone
are positioned to deliver merchants a POS payment solution that
combines VeriFoneís Omni 3200 payment system with
Lynkís application-development and transaction-processing
expertise. "This relationship enables us to offer a solution that
combines our services with a very fast, reliable, easy-to-use
terminal that supports current and future payment applications," said
Ed Uzialko, president and chief executive officer of Lynk Systems,
Inc.
Bud Waller, vice
president of North American Sales for VeriFone said, "Our new Omni
3200 terminal, running VeriFone SoftPay software, is designed to
provide Lynk significant cost savings through a lower total cost of
ownership when compared to competitive POS terminals." SoftPay
software provides merchants with the flexibility to process credit,
debit, check, and EBT transactions on one device at the
point-of-sale. The software package is a PC-based configuration
software tool, allowing for a wide range of options that can be
tailored to meet specific merchant requirements.
