Gringo's Tex-Mex, Jimmy Changas, Ziosk to elevate guest experience, drive loyalty

Thursday, February 26, 2026 — 17:20:37 (UTC)

Feb 26, 2026 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time Gringo’s Tex-Mex and Jimmy Changas Partner with Ziosk to Elevate the Guest Experience and Drive Loyalty Participation

Rollout of Ziosk’s Drop & Pay™ delivers frictionless payments, increased loyalty participation, and actionable guest feedback across both brands DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ziosk, the industry leader in guest engagement and pay-at-the-table technology, today announced a new partnership with Gringo’s Tex-Mex and its sister concept Jimmy Changas, two hospitality-driven, polished casual dining brands rooted in Texas. The partnership includes the rollout of Ziosk’s Drop & Pay™, a handheld payment solution designed specifically for polished casual dining environments, to all Gringo’s Tex-Mex and Jimmy Changas locations.

Drop & Pay™ acts as a digital check presenter, allowing servers to discreetly set the tablet on the table so guests can review their check, complete payment securely, and provide real-time feedback, all without disrupting the dining experience. The solution integrates seamlessly with Gringo’s existing technology stack while delivering meaningful operational enhancements and supporting long-term profitability. Unlike traditional handheld devices, the Ziosk handheld tablet provides an elevated guest facing experience that can be left at the table, freeing servers to grab another device and focus on delivering the warm, relationship-driven hospitality and sense of community that have defined the Gringo’s brand for more than three decades.

“We were looking for a platform that could offer our guests secure payments at the table while saving us money on unnecessary fees,” said Heather McKeon, COO of Gringo’s Tex-Mex. “Originally, we thought Ziosk was only a tabletop platform, but this handheld payment solution is tailored perfectly to significantly improve service efficiency while catering to our guests' needs. With Drop & Pay™, our guests can pay at their convenience, sign in for their loyalty and rewards, and leave us direct feedback. The results have been positive, and we’ve seen high adoption by team members and guests very quickly.”

Since implementing Drop & Pay™, Gringo’s and Jimmy Changas have seen strong guest adoption and measurable results across their 21 stores, including a 96% pay-at-the-table rate, 23% increase in loyalty participation, and 45% guest survey engagement. Notably, switching to Ziosk is also helping the brands cut costly fees and protect their bottom line.

“Gringo’s and Jimmy Changas are hospitality-driven brands that understand the importance of meeting guests where they are,” said Raymond Howard, Chief Revenue Officer of Ziosk. “Ziosk Drop & Pay™ gives them a secure, modern way to streamline payments, drive loyalty engagement, and capture actionable guest insights while preserving that people-first dining experience our guests expect and value.”

Beyond payments, the partnership is helping Gringo’s unlock deeper guest engagement and feedback. By capturing feedback before guests leave the restaurant and increasing loyalty sign-ins at the table, the brands are gaining real-time insights that help refine service, improve satisfaction, and drive repeat visits.
