Banking Leaders Worldwide Set to Converge as Transformation Becomes Mission Critical

London, April 21, 2026—With just one month to go, momentum is building for the Banking Transformation Summit, as over 1,000 senior leaders prepare to gather for one of the most focused and high-impact banking events in the global calendar.

Taking place between 19 - 20 May, the summit has already attracted more than 170 banks and building societies, alongside over 150 speakers and 40 exhibitors, showcasing the event as a forum for those driving change across the financial services industry. Attendees span six continents, with a strong UK core complemented by a growing international presence, including senior representation from Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, Austria, Greece and the UAE.

This year’s summit arrives at a transformational moment. Banks are navigating a convergence of pressures, from evolving customer expectations shaped by big tech and digital challengers, to intensifying global regulatory demands. At the same time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has shifted to implementation, forcing institutions to move decisively from strategy to execution.

The Banking Transformation Summit is designed to meet this moment. Bringing together leaders from institutions including HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, JPMorgan, Citi, UBS, Santander, Standard Chartered, Monzo, Starling and Nationwide, the event offers a uniquely curated and senior-level environment focused on meaningful connection and actionable insight.

Structured around six core themes, from the AI frontier and intelligent infrastructure to trust, customer experience and leadership, the agenda provides a clear roadmap for attendees to tackle their most awaited challenges. Each session is designed to go beyond theory, delivering real-world perspectives from those leading transformation programmes inside some of the world’s most influential financial institutions.

With three in four attendees representing banks or building societies, and multiple delegates attending from each institution, the event creates a rare opportunity for peer-to-peer engagement at scale. Combined with premium networking experiences, including a pre-event mixer and dedicated social sessions, the summit is engineered to foster the relationships that underpin successful transformation.

Mark Johnstone, Founder of the Banking Transformation Summit, said, “We built this summit around a simple idea to be big enough to matter and small enough to connect. Transformation isn’t something banks can solve in isolation anymore, it requires honest conversations, shared experiences and the ability to learn directly from peers facing the same challenges. With the calibre and diversity of leaders joining us this year, we’re creating an environment where those conversations can genuinely move the industry forward.”

With demand continuing to grow and places filling fast, the final countdown is now underway.
