Stephen Bowe joins Paymentology as Chief Product Officer

London, UK | 3rd July 2024: Paymentology, the leading global issuer-processor, today announces the appointment of Stephen Bowe as Chief Product Officer. With over 15 years of experience in banking and payments Stephen joins Paymentology’s leadership team to build on the company’s success by driving further innovation in the company’s payment products.

He will expand Paymentology’s next-generation payments infrastructure, focusing on seamless API integrations to simplify complex payment solutions. With customer-driven innovation central to Stephen’s leadership, he will ensure Paymentology’s products make it easy to launch and manage card programmes worldwide. His appointment will also strengthen the connection between Paymentology’s programme management, product, and technology teams, ensuring customer input remains integral to Paymentology’s long-term vision.

Stephen has extensive international experience, having previously worked with clients and organisations across Australia & New Zealand, Asia and Europe. He started his career with Accenture and gained experience in the telecommunications industry with BT, Vodafone, and Cable & Wireless. He was instrumental in the launch of UBank, a digital bank launched in 2008 by NAB in Australia, which by 2013 had collected five industry awards and enabled a new way for Australian consumers to interact with banking services.

At the Bank of New Zealand, Stephen led the bank’s technology and digital experiences teams. He also served as Chief Product Officer at WorldFirst, building an advanced cross-border payments platform. Stephen joins Paymentology from Nationwide Building Society, the world’s largest building society, where he was Director of Digital Experience and Innovation.

Stephen will leverage his client-side experience to develop a world-leading user experience, playing a key role in Paymentology’s continuous transformation to become the most global, scalable SaaS business.
