London, Nov. 21, 2024—As part of its mission to empower customers across the UK and beyond to meet their financial needs while fostering a sense of community and connection, financial services platform Kixy has announced an exciting new partnership with British Wrestling Association (BWA).
As part of this strategic collaboration, BWA has introduced Kixy as the exclusive financial partner for its 70 clubs across the UK. Kixy’s seamless and intuitive platform will soon be accessible to various organisations within the association’s network. Going forward, stakeholders and members across BWA’s network will benefit from a platform that supports financial well-being and fosters greater social connectedness.
Additionally, the partnership positions Kixy as the exclusive financial partner for selected BWA events in 2025. A key highlight of this collaboration will be Kixy’s sponsorship of the association’s annual championship, which will now be called the ‘Kixy British Championship’. The event, which brings together top amateur wrestlers from across Britain, is scheduled for the 24 and 25 of May next year. Kixy and its team will be present at the championship to provide participants and their families with a deeper understanding of the brand and its features, as well as to present awards to the winning athletes.
Speaking on the new partnership, Dr Amir Zarifnia, Founder and CEO of Kixy, commented: “We’re thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with an organisation as reputable and community-orientated as BWA. At Kixy, our team is dedicated to blending the enjoyment of social engagement with the essential functionality of financial services. Through our modern platform, we provide a service that goes beyond traditional financial operations, empowering individuals to feel more connected - both economically and socially.
“With this partnership, we will provide all clubs and partners across BWA’s network access to Kixy’s solution, a modern and powerful socially led financial services platform that promotes financial literacy and community building. Over the next year, we look forward to partnering and empowering communities by delivering workshops and other activities to BWA clubs across the UK as part of our broader mission to revolutionise the finance landscape by integrating social connectivity into financial services.”
BWA serves as the National Governing Body for wrestling in the UK, overseeing Olympic and Commonwealth wrestling styles, as well as various other disciplines under the jurisdiction of United World Wrestling and indigenous forms of the sport. Recognised by both Sport England and UK Sport, BWA supports and governs wrestling across the country, maintaining a network of clubs, coaches and individual members. Additionally, the organisation operates the British Wrestling Academy in Salford.
Crucially, the new agreement plays an important role in Kixy’s strategy to enhance brand engagement among underserved demographics. Partnering with amateur wrestling, a sport celebrated for its inclusivity, accessibility and diversity, is enabling Kixy to reach and connect with this audience. The sport's broad appeal to participants, volunteers, and fans from ethnically diverse communities and lower socio-economic backgrounds, perfectly aligns with Kixy’s mission to foster inclusivity and empower individuals from all walks of life.
