GarantiBank mobile banking launched in Turkey

Seattle, Sept. 25, 2007 –- Volantis, the world’s leading supplier of Intelligent Content Adaptation™ solutions for the Mobile Information Age, announced today that GarantiBank has made its device-independent mobile banking portal available to over 6 million customers with Volantis Framework™.

GarantiBank has long been recognised for its leadership and innovation. This service is the first in Turkey to deliver full consumer online banking across a mobile portal and is part of Garanti’s ongoing commitment to maximising service levels and access points for its 6.2 million customers and increasing its market share.

Working with HP to supply GarantiBank with a fully integrated and scaleable mobile banking portal, Volantis offers a feature-rich, proven solution that supports the delivery of secure, high-quality services. The solution utilizes Volantis’ Mobile Content Framework™ and will ensure that the new mobile online banking service is accessible by all Garanti customers, regardless of device or access point used. HP, as prime integrator, managed the project, providing services for architectural design, implementation, configuration, training and ongoing support. The solution runs on HP BladeSystem c-Class server blades.

The platform currently supports over 4500 devices, and up to 653 attributes on each. Updates to the service are provided dynamically as new devices are released to market.
