As Marc’s vision steadily turned into reality, both NAB and the payments industry began to grow and mature at an exponential pace. This presented a stream of new considerations for the company to address as it grew. NAB’s leadership team recognized early on its stealthy ISO program would need an equally strong customer service support team, as well as ready access to only the best financial products available in the industry. Yet, as electronic payment product advancements kept emerging and evolving, this commitment would turn out to be no small endeavor.
“Our leaders have always understood exceptional products go hand-in-hand with an award winning ISO program,” Gardner said, “While our core objective has always been to create something fantastic for merchants, we also know our growth is dependent on making the product investments our independent sales agents need to be successful in the field.”
In answer, NAB launched an operations initiative to develop a signature line of business-enabling products, designed to empower entrepreneurs with tools needed for conducting better business. Striving to create and maintain the most stable, yet innovative, product suite available to merchants in the marketplace, NAB built an in-house technology development team and also formed several strategic technology and product partnerships. Marc also enhanced his executive team with C-level industry experts who possessed the right talents and initiative to lead the company’s ambitious product development charge. Over time, the NAB product development team has concentrated on designing progressive financial and operations tools geared to aide merchants with day-to-day cash flow management, transaction security and compliance, payment data administration, and point-of-sale (POS) processes. In addition to these technologies, NAB has released products and services which also help merchants grow through longer-range planning and development, utilizing NAB’s capital funding or software and data integration services.
These efforts have produced a robust arsenal of contemporary technologies and automated resources for NAB’s payment processing agents to offer merchants in addition to the company’s state-of-the-art terminal equipment and first-to-market free equipment program. Not to mention, the revolutionary PayAnywhere Storefront cloud-based tablet POS solution, as well as the NAB Phone Swipe mobile POS solution; both designed exclusively by the NAB product team to address today’s merchant POS needs.
The overall strategy was anchored on the idea of bringing big data down to the level of the individual small business owner by providing them with affordable and easy-to-use, yet progressive, automations for enhancing efficiency, productivity and profitability. By creating and maintaining a full suite of relevant payment products, including everything from merchant accounts, hardware, software, and payment gateway accounts, NAB and it’s sales agents can provide small business owners with everything needed to thrive in today’s marketplace. Furthermore, the NAB configuration gives merchants access to the critical payment data and a host of additional tools and features they can leverage as they continue to grow and expand.
