CPP offers gift card selling top 10

As the holiday season approaches, ISO Certified Payment Processing LP offered its top 10 reasons why merchants should offer gift cards:

    1. People like to give gift cards and also like to receive them. 2. The gift card market is growing and consumers are spending more on gift cards, especially during the holiday season. 3. Federal regulations that affect bankcards have made gift cards a more desirable product to sell. 4. Gift cards provide "advanced cash flow" for merchants, since customers pay for cards in advance, then redeem the cards for products or services at a later time. 5. Gift card purchasing leads to repeat business and loyalty. 6. Gift cards increase a merchant's customer base because gift card receivers will likely use their cards in that place of business. 7. Gift cards are an excellent word-of-mouth marketing method. 8. Customers redeeming gift cards in store often spend more than the face amount on the cards. 9. Not all gift cards are redeemed, which means that the unspent amount on cards are additional profit for merchants. 10. Gift card programs are affordable and customizable.
