Among an elite group of payment companies selected, Calverton, N.Y.-based Electronic Payments placed 106 in the rankings. Also recognized for entrepreneurship, in order of ranking, were YapStone Inc. (8), Cardlytics (27), Ingo Money Inc. (37), Kabbage Inc. (59), MobileCause Inc. (99) and Rentec Direct (136).
As a first-time honoree, MobileCause CEO Sean MacNeill said that the company's purpose-driven, software-as-a-service business model "seeks to create a more meaningful commitment between nonprofits and their supporters by bringing individuals closer to causes they care about."
A variety of industries were represented in the annual list, from healthcare to fintech.
