Marla Ellerman, executive director at MPC, noted that MPC22 will feature interactive sessions, live demonstrations in the exhibit hall and extensive networking opportunities. "We're especially grateful to our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and attendees who supported us during the pandemic when we had to pivot to a virtual format," she said. "This year we're excited to host our conference in Atlanta, which is home to major processors and fintechs."
Ellerman also thanked the numerous subject-matter experts who responded to MPC's call for speakers. "The theme of this year's show is 'The Currency of Change,'" she said. "We will celebrate ever-changing technologies, trends, payment flows and the future of digital commerce with thought leaders, innovators and decision-makers in our space." The finalized agenda will be published in the next few weeks.
The Green Sheet, now in its sixth year as an MPC media partner, is offering a $50 discount to subscribers, readers and followers who register for MPC22 via mobilepaymentconference.com/register-now-2022/ and use code GREEN2250.
"We've packed a lot of high-quality content, presentations and exclusive networking events into three days," Ellerman said. Registered attendees will be eligible for daily prize drawings, including include digital wallets, gift cards and curated social events.
Ellerman urged attendees to register early to take advantage of special hotel rates, while available, and to receive pre-show presentations. Attendees can also engage with MPC throughout the year, for example, through its monthly newsletter, which contains guest blogs, interviews and breaking industry news.
Jed Rice, CEO at Aliaswire, said he is looking forward to participating as an MPC22 keynote speaker, sponsor and exhibitor. "Our industry is changing at a faster pace than ever before as payments become a more integral part of the relationship customers have with businesses and brands," he said. "The growth of real-time payments, the evolution of conversational commerce, the emergence of embedded finance, banking-as-a-service—all present important opportunities and challenges for our industry."
Rice added that MPC is an important forum for discussing and understanding these shifts and developing and refining strategies to capitalize on them.
Ellerman agreed, stating that MPC has grown exponentially from a small workshop in New York City to a global forum for stakeholders from financial, technology, government, retail, marketing and mobile industries. Attendees benefit from access to these experts and gain knowledge of emerging trends in payments, commerce, blockchain, digital currencies, cybersecurity, consumer privacy and the evolving customer experience, she added.
"Digital payments continues to drive economic recovery," Ellerman said. "Our industry is fostering safe, sustainable and financially inclusive commerce, leaving no consumer or business behind."
