our readers, but it's also true that the desire to

to help others build their careers is for many a stronger
motivator than the recognition they receive for sharing
their wisdom here. Yes, business is business, payments
is a cutthroat business and everyone's seeking a com-
petitive edge. But the instinct to lift the group overall
is strong in our community, and we are proud to have
been able to work for more than four decades with
people who have given generously to help educate and
empower people working in all corners of the industry.
With excerpts from our archives, this issue's lead ar-
ticle spotlights a number of experts who have shared
perspectives on a range of topics including sales and
marketing, data security, disruptors, and card brand
rules. We could write dozens more articles featuring Bridge the Gap
expertise from our archives, but there is so much going
on in payments and fintech today, pointing to a small between your
number of authors will have to suffice. We hope this ar-
ticle will remind you that real words from real experts advertising dollars
are at your fingertips 24/7.
