Mapping mobile, PC and tablet frontiers

As mobile and electronic devices command greater presence in the global population, opportunities for retailers are virtually boundless. U.S. consumers, on average, spend nearly two hours each day on mobile phones and over a lifetime will rack up and estimated 57,293 hours each. Total mobile, PC and tablet device shipments are expected to grow globally 6.9 percent in 2014. Following are the projected outlook and current trends in device connectivity.

Percentage of quick response codes scanned that lead to purchase 40 percent
Number of online searches done through mobile devices 1 in 4
