White-label app marketplace for merchants, platforms, brands

Product: AEVI Marketplace
Company: AEVI International GmbH

AEVI International GmbH, a global provider of business-to-business and payment technology solutions, launched a merchant app marketplace and business ecosystem in the United States. AEVI channel partners, which include banks, value-added resellers, acquirers, ISOs and independent software vendors, are branding and deploying the processor-neutral and hardware-agnostic solution across a range of merchant environments, the company stated.

Mike Camerling, President and Managing Director at AEVI, said the AEVI marketplace is designed to improve efficiencies, reduce cost of ownership and add value. "The ecosystem's flexible, open character gives merchants, banks and acquirers freedom of choice and the ability to do more," he stated. "It enables merchant acquirers and service providers to create their own branded marketplace and lets merchants choose devices and apps according to their individual needs."

Camerling mentioned Worldpay Inc. is using the AEVI platform to create a universal user experience for merchants, consumers and app developers. AEVI's global ecosystem and device-agnostic software development kit (SDK) enable content, value-added apps and services to flow continuously across numerous third-party connected devices.

Reducing cost, adding value

The open marketplace enables merchants and service providers to compete with top-tier retailers by blending payment and non-payment apps, Camerling noted. Value-added apps, such as payroll management, loyalty, bill-splitting, pay-at-table and mobile ordering and check-in can enhance the customer experience. Following are additional AEVI Marketplace benefits:

  • Consolidate payment processing: AEVI's Payments-as-a-Service platform consolidates incoming transactions from payment terminals, regions and channels into a simplified solution. The platform provides access to a suite of cloud-based, back-office reporting tools.
  • Streamline on-boarding: The AEVI Marketplace platform's estate management capabilities enable channel partners to pre-configure and drop-ship devices to merchants and remotely manage diversified device populations.
  • Securely process cross-border payments: The platform supports national and international payment networks, mobile payment schemes and meets numerous regulatory and security requirements.
  • Facilitate omnichannel commerce: AEVI's omnichannel capabilities enable users to align in-store and online payment methods to deliver a consistent customer experience through all channels and countries.
  • Create new revenue streams: AEVI's community of app solution providers can expand your company's marketing mix. These prospective partners can add value to customer relationships while helping companies create new business models and revenue streams.
  • Provide consolidated, real-time reporting: AEVI's cloud-based back office reporting tools provide merchants with key business reporting features, helping them monitor, manage and configure their device populations. The system routes transactions through a single gateway, providing a single-access view of transactional data from all channels and countries.
  • Keep hardware, software options open: AEVI's app marketplace model enables partners to implement their preferred POS devices and platforms under their own brands. Grow and scale POS systems: Users can securely and easily integrate existing and new POS systems and frameworks by leveraging AEVI's open application program interface (API).

From point of sale to point of differentiation

AEVI's open ecosystem is designed to optimize connectivity, bringing acquirers closer to merchants and merchants closer to consumers, company representatives stated. Acquirers and channel partners can peruse AEVI's expanded menu of value-added apps and services and create their own value-added application bundles. By tailoring these solutions for vertical markets, they can create differentiated, innovative POS solutions for merchants under their own brands.

AEVI welcomes reseller partners, acquirers, app developers and device manufacturers to join the company's open, collaborative ecosystem. These innovative partnerships will continue to provide customers with choice, flexibility and ease of use. "We like to say we offer payments as a service, not an obstacle," Camerling said. "We help you simplify the complex payment landscape with just one integration. When your merchants use our centralized payment platform, their transactions will not be restricted by borders, regulations, currency or device vendors." end of article
