ClearSale, an authority in ecommerce fraud prevention, launched Preventative Intel, a portfolio of fraud prevention tools tailored for the digital retail market. The new suite consists of three solutions: Instant Decision, Automatic Decision, and Complete Decision, providing layered fraud prevention based on varying levels of business needs.
The Instant Decision tool is designed for businesses selling digital goods, providing real-time fraud detection with three layers of protection. Retailers can instantly identify fraud attempts using artificial intelligence (AI), fraud rules, and ClearSale's global fraud database.
For businesses dealing with physical goods and rapid delivery, Automatic Decision offers four layers of protection, detecting fraud within a minute, the company noted. This completely outsourced solution leverages advanced AI models, external data sources, and ClearSale's fraud database to provide accurate, fast decisions.
The most comprehensive of the new tools, Complete Decision, uses five layers of protection. It auto-approves valid transactions, blocks fraudulent ones and flags suspicious orders for further analysis.
This solution is ideal for merchants dealing with high-value goods that require additional scrutiny before delivery or pickup, ClearSale stated.
Rick Sunzeri, ClearSale's director of client solutions, said, "Fraudsters are becoming more sophisticated, and businesses need fraud prevention tools that can keep up with these challenges," The new tools, he added, offer flexibility, allowing businesses to choose the level of security that best fits their needs, without sacrificing customer experience.
ClearSale's new product suite arrives at a time when online security is increasingly important, with 84 percent of consumers reporting they would not return to stores that don't protect them from fraud.
